"Where are you taking me? It's incredibly dark." She continued to venture through the abyss unknowing of her direction, unknowing of the end result. There was no answer because no one was there with her. She had only her heartbeat and the sound of her feet touching the ground. As each foot stepped swiftly against the floor, her heartbeat increased, her breath quickened, until she began to run. She ran for her life as if something was chasing her! She ran and ran and ran and ran until she collapsed, out of breath. "I see a light". A mirage is easily conjured in moments like this, when fear is so strong that hope proceeds to project illusions. There she was, lying against a wall. Her hair was matted with sweat. Her feet were sore from the chase. Her palms were sweaty with fear. "Get me out of this! Get me out of this dream! I implore you! Get me out of here!"
As if by magic, she found herself lying in a meadow filled with sunflowers glowing and tall as trees. They swayed with the calming breeze and called her to her, "Lie with us." "Don't be afraid to live here. We'll be kind to you. Look at the sun and how it glistens. Look at the trees, they beg you to lie at their feet." She pondered a while, she gasped at the world basking in beauty and the grace of the sun. "It was so dark, so desolate, so depraved," she remembered and shivered at the thought.
Out of nowhere, a beam of light poured from the heavens like a bridge unto earth. All of the colors of the rainbow succeeded in bringing comfort to this poor lost girl. She closed her eyes and felt the warmth of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. All at once, she felt as if she belonged where she was, where she was standing, where she was living. The rain came shortly after and pelted her as hard as it could, and she lied there as the ground soaked and the dirt became mud. Overwhelmed with oneness, she closed her eyes again and began to dream a dream so tender, one in which she would never desire to wake from. Just floating through the atmosphere with stars, the planets, the moons, the all encompassing universe.
